The versatile actor also known as DARLYNBILL of the Ghana film industry has been introduced to performers in the greater Accra region as one of the four performers asking for their vote to be on the ARSOG board. Speaking to the performers after his introduction by the election committee chairman Abeiku Sagoe, at the Musiga Hall in Accra on Tuesday 08:10:18, the multiple award winner and currently a Zafaa 2018 nominee, Bill Asamoah acknowledged the good work done by the immediate board and the election committee as they have steered diligently the affairs of the society, although it has been bedevilled with court issues, he further assured the performers that when voted on to the board, he will make sure proper communication become the hallmark of the society as a degree holder in communication studies, and also his years of practise as the CEO of Okyerema Entertainment, an events and a PR firm.
The multi lingua actor fascinated his audience when he answered a question from one of the northern performers in the Hausa dialect, he further explained that when voted to the board, language would not be a barrier In his dealings with his colleague performers since he speaks fluent Frafra, Hausa and a little dagbani alongside english and twi. Again on what he brings to the board as a performer he reemphasized that knowing very well that its a policy making board, he will suggest that the board gets a financial officer, an administrator and also the quick establishment of the office for the northern sector to ease and quickly facilitate its work.

A thunderous applause greeted his speech when he concluded by telling them that his motto coming into this election is formed from his name BILL (BOLD, INTELLIGENT, LAWFUL & LIBERAL). Some performers too could not hide their joy in his candidature and mentioned they have no difficulty voting for him come 18th October 2018. The remaining contestants Mercy Agyeman Duah, Taju Yusif and Ahmed Saani also took their turns to address the gathering. The train stops at Tamale in the northern region on 11th October, 2018 and 15th October, 2018 in Kumasi respectively as performers there wait for their turn to listen to the contestants and choose which three of these candidates to represent them on the ARSOG board. ARSOG is the Audiovisual Rights Society of Ghana, established in 2011 to protect the rights of owners of Audiovisual works in Ghana.

These are Producers, Authors and Performers. It has an eleven member board made up currently of three Producers, three Authors and two Performers who were duly elected at a conference of practitioners in the Industry. There are two other specialists appointed per their expertise and the Chief Executive Officer. By statute, ARSOG must have two offices in the country. There must be one in the Southern sector (Accra- Headquarters) and another in the Northern sector of the country (Kumasi).
ARSOG collects royalties on behalf of owners from public users of audiovisual works. In addition, it is also the recipient of levy on recordable material from the Government on behalf of owners of audiovisual works. ARSOG distributes these to their owners.
