Over the years, ZAFAA Global awards has remained one of the most credible forum that brings movie and film directors, producers, actors and actress and all those who are involved in movie production together. ZAFAA creates a best experience that seeks to bring all lovers of African movies to discover extraordinary films and also to appreciate the work of these people whose contributions brought the movies into the system.

This year ZAFAA Global Awards was not different from the previous awards. The award ceremony saw movie actors and actress, producers and directors and lovers of African movies all trooping in to catch a glimpse and participate in the occasion.

Ghana’s Kumawood was ably represented and whiles people thought they were just going as spectators at the award ceremony, that was not the case. Kumawood who for sometime now have been bashed and criticized have proven all critics wrong. In London at the ZAFAA Global awards, Kumawood grabbed three spectacular and important awards.

Ellen White, an actress and a producer picked two awards from the movie ” The List”. She carried home the award for best actress in Africa and Best Supporting Actress in Africa.

But the biggest and fascinating which has got people talking was Michael Amoah M.K.A. Baba, a CADAG Director in kumasi who won the award for BEST DIRECTOR in Africa.

In an interview with Director, Frank Gharbin who could not hide his feelings and joy said that, this was a well deserved win.

“We have some awards at ZAFAA before but not in sensitive areas”, Frank said.

He continued saying that at least Ghana has something to console itself with after it lost out as what was termed “Kigali Disaster”.

He further stressed saying that this a milestone achievement and so he expects bloggers and the media to talk about it the same way they criticize them. He concluded saying that,
